Clearing the clutter? Can you help Age UK at the same time?

We are appealing on behalf of Age UK Leicestershire to anyone who has any items of furniture or bric-a-brac they no longer want to please get in touch as soon as possible.

Age UK Leicestershire & Rutland is a local charity which promotes the wellbeing of older people by helping to make life fulfilling and enjoyable. Their services for older people are wide ranging, from shops on the high street to a telephone befriending service offering a friendly chat and a listening ear for those at risk of loneliness or social isolation and cover the whole of the Leicestershire and Rutland area.

The Age UK Leicester warehouse has not received any stock donations for almost 2 months and unfortunately they are running out of items to re-sell.  The issue is that whilst they still have lots of interested customers, if there is not sufficient good quality stock available this will soon dry-up and those customers will stop visiting which would be catastrophic to the funds they raise.

So, why choose Age UK to donate to over other charities?

1. The drivers will collect items FREE OF CHARGE

2. The satisfaction of knowing that 100% of the profits from the sale of your items will go back into supporting LOCAL older peoplw

3. If you are a UK tax payer and GIFT AID items (when driver collects) another 25p in every £1 is added to the charity, making your items even more valuable!

At this time of year and heading into Spring, we all have clutter we wish to clear out, and we all have that piece of furniture we keep looking to change or to update, so please do consider contacting Age UK if you have anything at all you no longer need*
