I am sure you will have listened with interest to the latest announcements of the national lockdown in England. New stricter measures have been introduced and are likely to last until at least mid-February. The Government have included a number of exceptions, and we are pleased that Estate Agency services are included. Government guidance states:
“You can still move home. People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving house, unless absolutely necessary. Estate Agents, Letting Agents and Removal firms can continue to work. If you are looking to move, you can go to property viewings. You are to follow national guidance on moving home safely, which includes advice on social distancing, letting fresh air in and wearing a face covering.”
As you are aware, we have been operating under strict COVID protocol since the start of the pandemic and this will continue, both within our offices and when meeting with both clients and viewers. From a practical point of view, we will continue to carry out enhanced vetting of potential buyers to understand their motivation and timescales. We will discuss each viewing request on a case by case basis. Each viewer will be required to confirm that they have viewed the online video and all detailed particulars and consider if there is a particular aspect of the property that is important to them so we can discuss it.
