Where Not to Plant Trees Leicestershire!

Back to news

Thank you from Shire Surveyors for this handy sugggestion on where not to plant trees in your front garden.

The larger a tree is the greater it’s water requirement will be and the further it’s roots will extend searching for it.

Structural and drainage problems can result.

Never plant a sapling so close to your house that it will become a major problem when it reaches it’s mature height.
large trees should be pollarded (pruned and shaped) regularly to restrict their growth and minimise the risk of storm damage occurring.

These this photo clearly shows the problems that can ensue.
